Lake of the Springs is a hidden gem perfect for a getaway, especially for families and pet owners. The location is beautiful and offers plenty of outdoor activities, but it can be challenging to deal with spotty cell service and crowded camping areas during peak times. It's great for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life and immerse themselves in nature.

My experience at the resort was unfortunately marred by issues with ownership that made me feel quite uncomfortable. While I did find some aspects enjoyable, like the clean bathrooms and the easterly views, I cannot overlook the rudeness displayed towards me regarding trash management. Overall, it’s a decent place if you’re self-sufficient, but I would advise caution based on how I was treated.

I stayed in a tent site that was small and not the best for pitching a tent due to the sharp drain rock. The lack of electricity was fine for me since I was just parking my truck for the night, but it might be a drawback for others.
Service

The service at the gate was nice and helpful, but the overall treatment by ownership was poor.

The location had beautiful eastern views of the valley, which I appreciated, but it lacked any shade and was quite exposed.

My recent stay wasn't quite what I hoped for. While the location and some aspects of the campground showed promise, the facilities and services need improvement. The atmosphere felt more like a party zone than a relaxing getaway, and the lack of management left us feeling uncomfortable. The bathrooms weren't cleaned properly, which was quite disappointing. Overall, I had moments of fun but certainly faced challenges that took away from the experience.

The campground itself was spacious, but the cleanliness left much to be desired.

I felt the absence of any staff oversight, especially during late-night hours, leading to noisy parties.

The restrooms hadn't been cleaned in days and the lake was dry, which was not disclosed on their website.

This resort is a fantastic spot for family trips, with a peaceful beach and spacious spots for privacy. The staff was helpful, and the amenities like the pool and lake were enjoyable. However, it was a bit of a letdown that the store was closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and the pool could use better maintenance. Overall, it's a great value for a fun family getaway.

My stay at the resort had its highs and lows. While I enjoyed the clean restrooms and the charming beach area, the frequent power outages were a significant issue. The park's terrain can be challenging, and accessing the beach from my spot took some effort. It was nice to see wildlife, like deer, wandering through, but overall, the experience was marred by power inconsistencies.

Rooms

The campsites were decent, but leveling was a hassle as the ground wasn't very even.
Service

I had minimal interactions with the staff, but when I did, it was just for check-in.
Location

The beach area was quaint, though a bit overcrowded on weekends, and my site was quite a walk from the water.
Dining

Restrooms were clean, but the facilities themselves felt inconsistent with the quality of the experience due to power issues.
